In a wreck of Kolomthota..

First of all, tell you one thing. This is our country. So we need to protect our country as a duty for future generation. Therefore please leave only your footprints and bring only photographs and video graphs. Love the environment and it will save you thousands of times.

Everyone know about the Colombo City. Colombo is the economic hub of Sri Lanka and many important places in the country are centered around this city.

So our set was called to make a little round about on a Poya day and we chose "Gangarama Viharaya, Seema Malaka Viharaya and Gangarama Gardens" as our destination.

Gangarama Viharaya

Gangarama Viharaya is one of the most famous temples in and around Colombo.  Located in Beira Lake, it was built in the late 19th century. The architecture reflects Sri Lankan, Thai, Indian and Chinese architecture.

The Buddhist temple consists of several buildings and was originally a small monastery in a marshy land.  There is also a residence hall, three store pirivenas, educational halls and alms halls.

Today the Gangaramaya is not only a Buddhist pilgrimage center but also a learning center.  It has also helped establish the United States Buddhist Temple in Staten Island, the Buddhist Center in New York and the Buddhist Center in Tanzania, helping to spread the Dhamma in other countries.

Seema Malaka Viharaya

The Seema Malaka Viharaya is a Buddhist temple in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The temple is mainly used for meditation and relaxation rather than worship. This is a part of Gangarama Viharaya and Located hundreds of meters away from gangarama viharaya.

The temple is built on three platforms above the water and is connected to the mainland by bridges. The architecture of the palace is similar to that of the Canadian period.  On one side of the platform is a Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi branch in Anuradhapura and There are four dedicated public places for Shiva, Vishnu, Kataragama and Ganesh on the four corners of platform.

Gangarama Garden

Gangarama Gardens is a popular place. It is designed as an island in the middle of the Beira Lake and has a bridge from the ground up. It is very popular among lovers. When you go there, you can see the varies kinds of Birds and Ducks.

Off season siripada Karuna - 02

Sripada through Hapugasthanna (Mukkuwatta Road)

Love the  Nature and it will save you thousands of times. First of all, tell you one thing. This is our country. So we need to protect our country as a duty for future generation. Therefore please leave only your footprints and bring only photographs and video graphs.

So there is no need to say anything about the Off season Sri pada karuna. We already told about it with our first blog. This is the link. pls read this first.

We are a people who always respect our tradition. So, as is customary, our sacrificial rituals are free of fried meat and meat. Liquor and Cigarettes are forbidden.

As far as I know, Anyone did not go through the Hapugastastenna at off season.at all times (We don't challenge others. We went with Own Challenge).

Our journey started from Ratnapura at 7.10 am from Ratnapura - Dehenakanda bus (go as early as possible. First bus from Rathnapura between 06.00 am to 6.30 am. Try this. As per villagers sometimes it is not for Saturdays. When we go with about rs.100 far we have to get down at Hapugastanna Tea Estate and walk about 3 kilometers to the nearby village. After begins the forest without any humans.

There isn't any difficulties to find the footpath. But within one day you can't get out of the forest. So there is a high land near the Menik Ganga (not the Kataragama Menik Ganga) where you can spend the night. But you have to be very careful about your security. Take necessary things what you need.

So, If you are able to going, Pls go with the person who know the exact road and have knowledge about the forest.

Hanthana Mountains Exploration

Love the environment and it will save you thousands of times.

First of all tell you one thing. This is our country. So we need to protect our country as a duty for future generation. Therefore please leave only your footprints and bring only photographs and video graphs.

Since we couldn't go anywhere for several months, our set was pretty much impatient to go somewhere. So suddenly on a Sunday, we were discussing exploring Hanthana Mountains.

The Hanthana Range is a popular destination among climbers in Sri Lanka, especially university students and foreigners alike.

There are two main ways to reach the top of Hanthana mountain.

     01. Traffic towards the University of Peradeniya.

     02. The other is the journey towards the fourth mile post (Hanthana).

We decided to use the route from the fourth mile post in Hanthana. The Kandy-Uduwela bus from Kandy can be used for this purpose.

If you are interested in climbing the Hanthana mountain, consider these points too.

   01. Carry adequate quantities of water and food (it is very difficult to find water at the top of a mountain).

     02.  Wear appropriate clothing and shoes that are suitable for mountain climbing.

It takes about 30 minutes to get off the bus and climb the first mountain. It is in a beautiful environment amidst the tea estates, and there is a rapid ascent. The first and second tops are a protection zone due to communication towers.  no need to get permissions. There is no limit, no prohibition.

It takes only a short time to climb from the first hill to the second peak. There is a clear footpath up to the tower on the second hill, but the footsteps disappear as soon as the pillar passes over the second mountain.

Then we can see a jungle full of mana shrubs. Mana shrubs have grown above our height. They tell us that no one has been around for a long time. The ability to see a fabulous view.

Upon reaching the third climb, we found no footsteps in the pasture. The mana bushes were more difficult to climb, and the amount of water left over due to the warm weather was out.

We soon had the consequences of underestimating Mount Hanthana as an easy mountain climb, because when we climbed the fourth mountain, all the water in our bottles was running out and there was no food except a few loaves of bread for breakfast. No more hunger to feel.

As we climbed the fifth mountain we felt the need for more water than the hunger caused by the hot weather. It was about three in the afternoon.

Due to hunger and time management, we decided to go back, despite having to climb a few more hills.

We had to come quite a distance from my own, so we walked through the jungle to the foothills of mana shrubs, but that was not what we expected. Getting through it was really difficult and troublesome. We were very lucky.  We drank the water and found that the thirst and hunger were somewhat alleviated.

After drinking the water, we resumed the trail. As we continued, we came to a fifteen-foot (15Ft) cliff. With no time to rest, we climbed the cliff with the help of a few vines nearby.  ) On our way we found a road leading to a village.

After about 30 minutes we were able to reach the village and Na quickly took the final bus from the bathing place near the village temple. So we came to Galaha junction and went to town and headed home.

The Hidden Paradise Of Karandagolla Cave.

The Hidden Paradise Of Karandagolla Cave..

Love the environment and it will save you thousands of times.

First of all, tell you one thing. This is our country. So we need to protect our country as a duty for future generation. Therefore please leave only your footprints and bring only photographs and video graphs.

After about 6 km on the road to Karandagolla school in the village of Karandagolla on the Ella-Wellawaya road, you will find the jungle path leading to the hidden paradise of the Karandagolla tunnel. There is a reservoir at the end of the tunnel. We called it as " NIL DIYA POKUNA ".

The Blue Pond is located 300 to 400 meters below the ground level (no sense). The reservoir is named for the fact that its water is transparent and blue.

👉👉 (Special Marks):-

✍️After entering the tunnel, use an electrical bill that fits for at least 4 hours, as there is very little darkness.

✍️ Using a pair of light weight shoes makes the journey easier.

✍️ Do not forget get help of a guide.
